Almost Turkey Time
Well as most of you know, I am preparing the thanksgiving turkey for my hubby's side of the family. It is usually grandma's job, but with her broken collar bone, she is still not moving very well. I really hope I do her turkey justice.
I am doing a practice run tomorrow with a smaller bird. I can't even begin to tell you how happy my hubby is that I am doing this (practice run, that is). I found a 10 pounder to work with. I borrowed my great aunt's recipe for the perfect turkey. I will be making my own stuffing using Italian bread that will be stuffed into the bird.
I am asking everyone I know for turkey tips. So, blogworld, do you have any tips for a virgin turkey cooker? I would love to know any special tips or secrets. Anything would be appreciated. Even a good luck!
