Doctor's Visit

I had a really good doctor's appointment yesterday. Every time I go in I'm told that I have perfect blood pressure, and it was no different yesterday. The doctor found the baby's heartbeat immediately even though most of the time it takes her a good 30 seconds to find him. And for once, nothing was said about my weight! With all the extra protein I've been told to eat, I gained 4 pounds in a little less than 2 weeks. I hate having such a huge weight gain, but it's what my doctor wanted since I hadn't gained anything for a few months. I just hope I don't gain more than 8 pounds with the 7 weeks I have left since I'd like to keep my weight gain at a total of 20 pounds.

Then after the baby is born on October, I will kick the healthy eating into high gear! I want to lose about 60 pounds and get back into my size 8's. I def know this is possible since I lost 45 pounds by May of last year. I know I'll be much happier if I can fight back into my "skinny" pants asap!

You're young. You'll be able to lose the weight more easily than an older mom, especially if you breastfeed.

Try not to pressure yourself to lose the weight too quickly, especially if you breastfeed. That won't be healthy for you or baby. Luckily, we're coming into fall and you'll be able to get outside for exercise!

Glad to hear that everything continues to go well for you. It seems like women's bodies have their own way of taking care of the baby, and if you don't gain any more weight, then that's the way it's meant to be. My SIL is carrying her third and she's always been "all baby" and the first two are extremely healthy.

To quote Billy Joel, "I love you just the way you are..."

and Joshua Kadison, "You'll always be beautiful... in my eyes."

Maybe I should breastfeed too, so we can slim down together. I can use all the help I can get.
