Signed!
When my hubby and I decided that he should take the resident manager job where we live now, we had to sell our previous home very quickly. We knew that God wanted us to move, but we weren't sure how He was going to get us out of our home in a month's time. We checked with a realtor friend and he said that it would probably take about 3 months to sell our home, so that was not the way to go. My hubby and I weren't sure what to look into next until my mom hooked up us with a couple who buys run down homes, fixes them up, and resells them. They were very interested in our home since it was on the small side and it would be their first "pretty house" to flip. It wouldn't take them much work (or money) to paint it and put in new carpet. So we decided to work with them to get out of our home. In order to do this, we had to keep the home in our name. However, we did sign several contracts stating that this particular couple was now in charge of the payments. After finding a buyer, we would then sign papers to get the home out of our name.
So, we find out about the resident manager job in October, and by November, we were moved. It was such a blessing to find out about this couple in time. But, I felt really bad when they had a hard time selling our previous home. They had it fixed up and on the market at the beginning of this year, but they still didn't have an offer on it by this summer. On top of that, our credit rating went down since my hubby and I had both a home and a townhome in our names. We couldn't get a loan even if we wanted to.
But, just this month, the couple finally found someone who was interested in the home! This person only wants to rent it for now, so the couple decided to just go ahead and buy our home from us and rent it out! As of last week, after signing a single piece of paper, our old home is finally out of our name!!! I feel so free! I can let go of that home finally...it is taken care of!
Now, how to celebrate?! :-)
