Forgetfulness

What is it with men and their ability to cancel or change plans at the last second? Okay, okay my hubby and I open up our house every Saturday for the OSU game. I buy the food during the week when it goes on sale. Why do I hear the day before that oh, by the way, two men might not be here for the entire time. It's an OSU GAME! What fan in their right mind would miss a game? And my cooking? Crazy!

One of the guys isn't coming till five because he has to work. That's a good and valid excuse but it didn't even cross his mind to tell me he would be late. Another guy is doing house work for his wife, coming over, and then leaving at 5:30 to go play Euchre. Euchre! Instead of the game!!! He can't even tell me if he is staying for dinner! I didn't find out about all this info till last night.

Why not let me know as soon as possible so that I can plan? Is it because men tend to be forgetful, like my hubby is. Is it because men usually have a one tracked mind and just don't think sometimes. To all the men out there, if you change your normal football plans at your friend's house, please tell your friend's wife.
