Life is Grand!!!

(((PUKE)))

The oldest red head has thrown up twice now this morning...and I had to clean it up of course! This is not good since the smallest things have made me gag-like brushing my teeth and smelling cheese. So, I had to breath with my mouth open to not get sick as well. This is so not good times!!! But, I think he just ate/drank something this morning at his home that disagreed with his stomach. I don't think his mom needs to pick him up, so I hope all that yuckiness is out of his little belly!!!

On a side note, we will be moving my 97 year old great grandpap into an assisted living home tomorrow. He has been living by himself, in his own apartment, and still driving his car since my grandma passed away in '95. But he finally got off a waiting list (kind of sad if you think about what had to of happened for him to be moved up on the list) and will be living in a place much, much closer to his last living child-my great aunt. We all hope that he will be able to adapt to his new surroundings since he hates being taken care of...and he's really stubborn!

Any special plans this weekend?

Ew, how awful to have to clean that up when you already feel sick!

No plans here. Hubby's going on another week-long trip starting Sunday. Not looking forward to that.

I hope everyone starts feeling better at your house. We're having friends over Saturday and I will go visit my mother on Sunday.

I have nothing big planned for the weekend. I am going to just try to relax. I've had a very busy and amazingly stressful week.

I hope your Grandpap gets along well in his new surroundings. But, if he does well enough on his own, he will most likely be allowed to do most things on his own (that was how it worked for my great grandma).

Ewwwwwww....there's nothing worse than cleaning up vomit or poop (even from dogs). I'm going to be helping a friend move. Exciting, huh?

Had a Stampin Up mother-daughter party today. That was fun!

Sorry to hear about the throw-ups!!! *gag* You would think after 10 years of cleaning up poop, pee, and puke I would be used to it, but I'm not!

I always put my shirt over my nose so I don't have to smell it!

So glad your great gp can live near one of his children. Family is SO important. Imagine being alone and old...no one there. So sad. I hope I'll always be living with some family. That is one of the reasons we are now living with my parents again. They don't want to grow old alone either.

Just came home from a holy retreat sponsored by our company. It was attended by all the department heads and supervisors and it was a very spiritually filled activity.

Wish your grandpa will adjust easily. At least now he will be busy meeting other people and engaging in activities that will keep him busy whole day.

Just woke up and thought I'd check in. I hope your grandfather adjusts well, that can be hard. And tell the mom you charge double for each day you have to clean up puke! You should at least be well-compensated if she's bringing over a pukey kid... ;-)
