Thirteen things on Trinity13's 80 list. We are celebrating my grandma's 80th birthday this weekend and it's my job to think of 80 of the same thing to give to her. She is getting 80 new one dollar bills from her kids, but we grandkids need 80 of something as well. Here are my ideas so far. 1. 80 roses made out of kisses
2. 80 family pictures made into a photo collage 3. 80 real flowers with each grandchild in charge of one certain color 4. 80 money flowers
5. 80 fake flowers made into a nice arrangement 6. 80 pearls 7. 80 page magazine from the year she was born 8. 80 letter pages with 80 envelopes 9. 80 pieces of assorted candy 10. 80 flower petals in a potourri jar 11. 80 special Bible verses in a small homemade journal 12. 80 seeds of different types of flowers and vegetables 13. 80 facts, about grandma's life, written in a scrapbook
Do you have any ideas as well? Any help would be much appreciated!!!

Great idea! She surely will be very touched with your gesture.
How about including these in your list:
1. 80 of her favorite songs or songs
of her generation
2. 80 birthday greeting notes from
friends

Flowers are great but they die. Photo's, now that is a real treasure. I'll have to think for awhile to come up with something you haven't listed. That's a good list.

I agree with viamarie. How about this too.
80 photos of her when she was a child?
Would this be difficult to do?
Mine is up too.

I like #11 or #2 the best.
My 13 are up.

a good idea with the 80 theme. :)

I like number 2. Memories surpass anything when it comes to elders!

Viamarie just said my idea - have people write their favorite memory of her and put it into a book she can look at after everyone leaves. Sort of her own "fan book" of sorts.
80! Wow! Happy birthday to her!

How about compiling 80 things you like about her? Add pics to the album to make it more personal too.

I especially love #11 & #13. Your grandmother will love it. They did this for my Mother when she turned 80 (she's 89 now). Her bro gave her the 80 $1 bills. Maybe someone could give her 80 - $10 bills. Then she could take a nice trip! Thanks for visiting!

You have fantastic ideas! Any of those would be good!

photo album awesome idea. People love family photos. What would be really awesome is to get some really old ones and have them reprinted on new paper. Go to ur neighborhood photo lab and have then scanned and printed.

a list of 80 reasons why you love her, or make it poster stlye so others can write in their reasons

Those are all such great ideas, I think 80 pieces of news or magazine clippings from her birth year would be nice, or maybe one major important headlines clipped from every year since she was born. People always look back as they age and trying to remember what year something happens is such a challenge - heck, it's a challenge for me and I'm only 35! LOL!
Whatever you decide, Happy Birthday to your Grandma. Enjoy the day!
